Need a hand? Answers to common questions are below. For anything else, email kitchentablerummy@gmail.com and we'll get back to you.

Playing the computer

Tap Play the computer, choose partners or cutthroat, and deal. Computer players fill every other seat, including your partner. No sign-in needed.

Playing online with family and friends

Everyone plays on their own iPhone or iPad. Make sure each person is signed in to Game Center (Settings → Game Center). Tap Play online, choose the table and rules, and tap Invite family and friends. Computer players can fill any empty seats. Take your turn whenever you're ready, and the app lets you know when it's your turn. If someone leaves a game, a computer player takes their seat so everyone else can finish.

Playing on one phone

Tap Pass and play, enter everyone's names, switch on the computer icon for any seat you want the computer to play, and deal. Before each person's turn the app covers the cards and shows whose turn it is, so nobody peeks.

The rules

Scoring

High: the highest trump played. Low: the lowest trump played, to whoever wins it. Jack: the jack of trump, if it was dealt. Game: the most card points in your tricks (10s are 10, Aces 4, Kings 3, Queens 2, Jacks 1).
If the bidder takes at least their bid, they score what they took. If not, they're set back by the bid. Everyone else scores what they took. First to 21 wins, and the bidder goes out first.

House rules

When you set up a game, tap House rules to change the target score (11, 15, 21, 31 or 52), who gets Low, the stuck dealer, whether the dealer can take the bid, trumping anytime, Smudge, and who wins when two sides reach the target together.

Removing ads

The free version shows a banner on the home screen and a short ad after a game is finished, never during play. To remove all ads for good, open Settings (the gear on the home screen) and tap Remove ads. If you've bought it before, tap Restore purchase.

I'm not getting "your turn" notifications

Check Settings → Notifications → Setback, and make sure you're signed in to Game Center. Pull down on the home screen to refresh your games.

Removing your data

Your stats live only on your device, so deleting the app removes them. Online games are stored by Apple in Game Center. You can manage your Game Center account in Settings → Game Center.
